SUNSATIA HYBRIDS
A breakthrough in breeding, Sunsatias are truly accent plants for today's living. They will provide stunning winter colour in containers in modern patio gardens and outdoor living areas. Sunsatia combines the best attributes of different Nemesia species into one tremendous series that will change the way we consider this genus for evermore. Bred in Germany by crossing South African annual and perennial species, Sunsatia hybrids are distinctively different from traditional Nemesias. They produce more flowers, larger blooms and flower for a longer period and plants have a greater vigour and an excellent branching habit. But above all they come in a range of previously unavailable colours. There are both vivid luminescent bright colours and soft, subtle pastel shades.

Origin

A breakthrough in breeding, Sunsatias are truly accent plants for todays living. They produce more flowers, larger blooms, and flower for a longer period, and plants have greater vigour and an excellent branching habit. But above all they come in a range of previously unavailable colours. There are both vivid, luminescent bright colours and soft, subtle pastel shades.

Care Instructions

Do not allow potting mix or soil to dry out. But avoid over-watering in order to prevent fungal disease in hot, humid weather. Regular light applications of liquid fertiliser will encourage blooming. Trim older flowers back to foliage to encourage branching and a longer flowering season.

Uses

Sunsatias are ideal for container gardening, to provide stunning floral accents in a large pot or in hanging baskets in the patio and courtyard. They will look fabulous planted in a single colour, a mixture of fruity colours or in combination with other plants. Use a premium potting mix. They can also be grown in the garden in well-drained soil. Sunsatias perform best in full sun in winter but will benefit from light shade with some protection from strong midday sun and hot winds as the weather warms up.
