Origin

The Rosalinas are derived from Kalanchoe blossfeldiana, a native of Madagascar. These have been in cultivation since they were first collected in the 17th century and taken back to the conservatories of Europe. Developments over the years since give us the many colour flowers. Rosalinas with their distinctive double blooms were selected from the ongoing breeding programme of KP Holland in Delft, The Netherlands.

Care Instructions

Keep the flowers dry when they are in bloom to prolong the length of flowering. Remove the flowers after they finish and trim the plants if necessary. Liquid fertilizer applied to direction will start the plants into new growth. Cuttings are easily manufactured if you want in normal propagation mix.

Pest and disease problems are minimal, as with most succulents

Uses

Planter bowls and baskets of colour are easily achieved with Rosalinas. They can be grown in semi-shade to sunny positions. When in bud move them around to suit your needs in the outdoor room, on patios, balconies, near pools and barbecues or move indoor once the flower is opening to brighten your living spaces.

Prime spots to plant are in sunny gardens and rockeries. Porous free draining garden loam is needed as they require perfect drainage. Working in broken brick, coarse sand etc will help if your garden has heavy soils.
